The Hot Spring:

At West Pass Hot Spring 112 degree F water is supplied by hoses from the old mine to three bath tubs pirched up on the hill above West Pass Creek.  The water temperature is controled by taking the source out of the pool to let the water cool.  Always leave the tubs empty with the source hose out of the tubs when you are leaving to keep algae from growing in the tubs.  The water has a decent sulphur smell and a green color but it is also nice and hot.  The soak is not as nice as Bowery Hot Spring but camping is allowed in the parking area above the tubs, unlike at Bowery.
